Founders of HOOB: Enterprise Estonia’s Business Mentoring Program provides security to give up paid work

Priit Raid, founder and CEO of HOOB, started the Enterprise Estonia Business Program when he was still a salaried employee, but the knowledge gained from the program gave him the confidence to build a success story as a so-called full-time entrepreneur.

HOOB was formed in 2014, when a company producing forestry equipment wanted to order a service for the digitization of equipment drawings and product development. Priit Raid and Tanel Sildnik, with a background in TalTech mechanical engineering, accepted the challenge and the company Hoob OÜ was registered on the last day of the year.

Undoubtedly, passion also plays a role in the company’s success: “We are interested in what production methods have been used in the production of the product. It’s exciting to think that someone has developed a device or production line that can finish a product filled with sophisticated technology.”
